GROUP TYPES

There are three types of groups to join.

ROOTED GROUPS

For people new in their spiritual walk or wanting to strengthen their faith.

Rooted is a 10-week study that helps you connect with God, the church, and your purpose. Ask questions, grow stronger, and develop habits that help you experience how Jesus makes life better and makes you better at life.

Focused Groups

For people seeking short-term study.

Focused Groups are purpose-driven groups designed for a specific topic or season of life – offering practical tools, spiritual growth, and support to help you move forward with confidence.

For people looking to do life together.

Armed & Dangerous – Men’s Prayer is a weekly gathering designed to raise up Godly men who know how to pray with confidence, clarity, and authority. We meet Wednesday mornings from 6–7 AM in the auditorium, committing the first hour of our day to becoming the spiritual leaders our families need. Most men have no issue with the idea of protecting their family physically. Yet while there is less than a 1% chance you’ll ever face a physical threat, there is a 100% chance the enemy is after your family’s heart, mind, and soul every single day. Our calling as men isn’t just to defend physically—it’s to stand guard spiritually. In this group, we will learn: Patterns of prayer (like the Lord’s Prayer) Topical prayer (healing, protection, wisdom, deliverance, provision) How to pray Scripture with authority How to cover your family intentionally in prayer This is not about perfection—it’s about stepping into your God-given role as the spiritual leader of your home. If you’ve ever felt unsure how to pray or where to start, this group will give you the tools, confidence, and brotherhood you need. Rooted groups are 10-week discipleship groups designed for those new to Jesus or ready to grow deeper. Whether you’re looking for community, to deepen your relationship with Jesus, or have some serious questions you want to explore, Rooted can be a part of the next chapter in your story. The cost is $20 per person, which includes all sessions and your daily devotional workbook. Scholarships are available (contact us for more information).

One of the most powerful ways to grow spiritually is to connect relationally with other curious people in a faith community.

Lets be honest - none of us are looking for one more thing to add to our calendars. But if we're still being honest, many of us are lonely or stalled out in our growth. Groups help create the connecton and rhythm you need to grow and experience how Jesus makes life better and makes you better at life.

Most groups meet in person in homes or public spaces throughout the community. Groups gather on different days and nights of the week.

Every group looks a little different, but they all share the same core elements: connection, learning, and application around real-life topics.

Groups are focused on encouraging and helping you live out what you believe. And because life is better with laughter, having fun together is just as important.

Everyone moves at a different pace, and that’s okay. To get the most out of the experience, we encourage sharing as you feel comfortable, knowing that discussion often leads to deeper connection.

A group often becomes like family. Sometimes you talk. Sometimes you listen. You won't be forced to speak or answer questions.

It depends on the group. You can use the Group Finder filters to search for groups where kids are welcome.

If childcare is provided, those details will be listed with the group or can be confirmed by connecting directly with the group leader.

No. You don’t have to attend NewPointe to join a group. If your first connection with NewPointe is through a group, we’re glad you’re here.

We have two group launch seasons each year—in January and August—when a wide variety of groups are available.

We also have focused and care groups throughout the year. Using the Group Finder, you can reach out to the leader with questions.

You can join any time of the year. If you’re having trouble finding a group that works for you, let us know. We’re happy to help.
